I logged in and peaked around a bit. If there is any help you need testing certain features I'd be happy to spend some time helping you out. Just shoot me a message and tell me what you want me to test.
I spoke to a few of the quest folks, but couldn't beat on anything :D
As far as combat and scripting go, the framework is in to support damage over time spells and buffing. We have a few scripted like the all-in-one buffs Favor of the Deathdealer I-II and Favor of the Lifegiver I-II as well as a few others. A bunch of necro spells have been implemented too to verify the routines. More spells should be coming online very soon and much of this is just database entry driven.
We are also not implementing BBO due to popular demand. All spells will stack with other spells that are not in their spell line. The buff values may be toned down to compensate though since the BBO spells had much higher numbers since they didn't stack.
(had forgotten about this project, lol, even have an account registered i think)
Just to add my own thanks, i so so hope someday there'll be a full VG version running. Yes, lacking a proper crowd it will be problematic/impossible playing it properly, but just the idea of it being 'online' again.. :)

(seen so many 'teams' keeping cores private, the years passing by and the projects halting because no one was there to submit bugs anymore..)
There was some pvp talk on another forum and this was my response.
Even tho we weren't able to collect any packets from a pvp server I did figure out the details on how to enable the client to make another character your offensive target by default. So having a PVP enabled server is not out of the question at some point.
On a side note we are able to spawn all the different boats but they are not drive-able yet we are still working on that part.
