I think lower the purchasing power would actually increase the demand for RMT, making my coin worth less means i need more of it to acheive the same result, and than means more farming for me, which increases the grind that in the end causing many to seek a place to buy the coin.

Not exactly what I was driving at but in hindsight I don't think what I was asking for is possible anyway.

I think there are a few ways to keep plat valuable, outside of money sinks.

    1) Move to a 1->100 conversion for copper, silver, gold, which I believe they are doing in Pantheon. Possibly make gold conversion 1,000->1 to platinum (too arbitrary for me though).

    2) Make lower levels of money more valuble. If you are looting a couple copper pieces off mobs around level 1-5, allow us to buy stuff with copper like food and basic equipment. VG did a better job at this than EQ.

    3) Possibly consider having finite coin resources available on vendors or in the world in general.

    4) Have dynamic mobs where they drop fewer and fewer coins/loot as players farm the same area.
