Xbar workout system

I used to think working out with resistance bands was great for old people, women, and people rehabilitating an injury. This is because bands are safe, portable, and are very easy on the joints. I thought though that if you were a man and wanted a macho powerful physique  or a combat ready body you needed to stick with pumping real iron in conjunction with other conditioning exercises and stretches. My opinion has changed.

I already owned a Bodylastics set with around 400 pounds of resistance bands but never used it much. Since I got this bar, I use the bands every day and am having the most fun I have ever had working out. I feel like, more than any other form of resistance training, that it makes me feel younger because of the unique type of resistance. I don't think think a person could win Mr Olympia working out with these instead of the traditional iron but you can definitely get very strong and very conditioned with this with no sagging body parts.

This things screams quality, pictures don't do it justice :

I see 26lbs of resistance for $150 bucks lol... If it came with more I might be interested.

I was using one of the below for two years until I moved and didn't have a room for it. Now I just have a set of powerblocks. Wouldn't mind having something else to complement them.

Its the bar you are paying for, and what a bar it is ! May seem like too much cash for a bar, but once you have it in your hands, you understand ;)  The bands are an after thought. You can get a couple hundred pounds of resistance bands for not that much. Also, I would love the setup you showed a picture of, but I am in a tiny apartment now. I had over 1000 pounds of rubberized olympic weights I had to part with when I got married and moved :( I had something similar to the powerblocks you mentioned, the heavier version of the Bowflex ones. I liked them alot since they took up little space, but there is something about the combo of this bar and the bands. Really makes me feel younger and has taken away alot of aches and pains .

This dude has a lot of decent vids for working out with it :

I happened to already have this set of bands to go with the bar :

I got a much cheaper deal on that set on ebay though.

    EDIT:

I Still love using the Jungle Gym XT for bodyweight training. That maybe nice to go with the blocks ? Takes up little space.
