Cold Flame

A detail from the February newsletter that caught my eye was the "cold flame" that burns in a bowl atop the central plinth in the Elven tower (per the concept art).  Does heatless fire, and the ability to create it, play a part in either gameplay or lore?  Is it an arcane skill unique to the Elves?

It's probably just a spell of some sort not particularly limited to Elves. Lighting with an illusory flame.

The artwork is lovely, isn't it?

Excellent work from the team and lovely to hear their words in the Feb News.

As for the nature of the magic, I'll take any excuse to hear more info and lore!  I mean, it's not uncommon in fantasy to have heatless light, but a cold flame is interesting.

It feels like a meld of the nature of the Ashen and the Ember.  Nice!
