    Nice newsletter. Good way to start the new year! Screen shots remind me of the purpule dragon from D&D.

    I have to admit, I've never been excited about crafting/gathering in an MMO before this.  I think it would be a cool perk to give the different races bonuses to gathering successes/amounts.  Like Dwarves + mining pick durability, Dark Myr can fish in higher rated areas using weaker poles, Skar can skin 1 tier below their skinning skill without a knife, another could be increased harvesting speeds, and humans get NOTHING because they can already be every class haha, j/k!

    I like this idea. Humans should get penalties at crafting, though, since they are weaker than all the races. Especially us ogres.  :P

    While I'm a bit skeptical about the annnouncement, that every char can harvest all the different ressource types, I have high hopes, that this will be restircted at least for the more rare things. So everyone can harvest the base stuff of every harvesting profession, but you can only specialise in 1 or 2 of them and only in this professions you can harvest even the interesting rare stuff.

    The highlight of this month newsletter for me was this sentence (or the bold part of it) in the fishing section.

    "As your skill grows with use though you'll find more exotic wildlife to use in crafting and clues to lost treasures"

    For me this sounds like we get some kind of treasure hunting system in the game. :) I would love to see some sort of treasure hunting system in the game, even if it would be only very basic and only limited to fishing at the beginning, because once it is there it can be extended later. :) ~~dreaming~~

    This is unconfirmed but, my speculation is that the more rare harvestable items will be restricted by requiring a full group to harvest them (all group members meeting minimum harvesting skill requirement).  Group harvesting has been mentioned as a possibility. I expect it to be implemented.
