You probably learned all about Italian and Elizabethan sonnets in high school. Structured, lots of rules for meter and rhyme. Not fun like grade school where our first introduction to poetry is usually Haiku. Here's your chance to don your thinking cap (with or without a feather - bards!) and create a 5-7-5 tribute to something Pantheon - a race, class, or your favorite dev.  I'll kick us off with a few, feel free to add your own:

enigmatic gnome / encounter suit enveloped / what are you hiding?

Thronefast citizens / declare with pride, far and wide / we are not boring

stabbing from shadows / with daggers and screenshot key / Kilsin strikes again

troubadours rejoice / bards will sing in Pantheon / just not at release

Skar are filled with rage / it is their nature to hate / they don't make good pets

awesome view atop / reckless magician's tower / I want to jump off

                                                                     Your Saturday Morning Pantheon Ode............

    Your Saturday morning Pantheon Ode...

Is about to make some waves untold.

In the midst of Kumu's posting showed......

..........Up on the side of Wild's End road.

a monk does make thoughts in a Faerthale abode.

Let's travel to the Whispering Land's hidden node,

Where a human, Archai and elf behold!

.....a veil of Azeris must hold secrets to forbode.

Any party with a warrior or mage carry on bestowed.

All the way to The Mad Moor with thunder&lightning don't explode.

Because i'd rather do that in Halnir's Cave billowed.

But I still wonder how the flowers bloom at Grovegrass elbowed...

Along the Steppes of Ru'lun we sing and laugh as we flowed....

So we can somewhere on a South Saol crossroad....

Find our way under the shining stars forebode

Slay an forsaken wraith in those Ancient Halls echoed.

So the legends of Kumu are waiting to once again be told.

    BOOM!

Sorry, I didnt follow 5-7-5. I just do my own thing.

    I believe Kilsin meant =>

waiting and watching / silently with my finger / on the close button

but we still have three races unsung, so...

child of the Archai / elemental striations / grafted at True Birth

"Curse Ermos" we say / for he watched but aided not / thus "Ermos be cursed"

dichotomy sprouts / like Lucent's sprawling branches / Ashen and Ember

    Long stand the Roans

    Northern Kingsreach guardians

    Summit of the coast

Had a pretty good discussion if it's Roan like loan, or Roan like Croatoan. My wife says the latter is made up anyway and there are far more examples like the former. I have always promounced it Row-an so there you have it let the debate begin!

Larr: You missed the Haiku by two feet!

Kilsin: I can also make the Kessel run in nine parsecs!

Its funny because:  In Poetry, A foot is a unit of time.

Havensong is by far my favorite story! May your pantheon forever favor you Kumu.

As read from the Arch of Life:

    Here stands Amensol
    Patriarch of Havensong.
    Steadfast throughout life.

As read from the Arch of Death:

    Here lies Amensol.
    Slain by rage, Forgotten god.
    Defiant through death.
