VR has decided to remove all player AoE abilities (due to a class action lawsuit brought about by the ASPCA and other animal lovers along with the Sierra Club and tree huggers in general) so as not to harm any flora or fauna.  It has also been decided, after careful deliberation, that using weapons or spells to hurt or harm ANY creature or life form was not what VR envisioned so they have decided to cancel Pantheon.

Ps The last time logging into Pantheon, before shutting down the server, Brad Mcquaid was seen wielding a rose in lieu of his flaming sword and chasing butterflies as he ran naked, off into the distance.

We have stopped player pets from being damaged by player AoE abilities through the application of next-gen AI hardware and coding.  This will result in players sometimes being told what to do by their pets.   Unfortunately, we cannot predict all outcomes of this technology and failure to comply may result in pet AOE's damaging you.

Stopped player pets from being damaged by player AoE abilities. However, they are still vulnerable to the AoE Fear effect of the Vacuum ability.

Pet deaths on the raise as new wave of unexperienced spell casters begin to explore the world, the public demands answers.

Recent studies show the number one cause of deaths in pets being fratracide.

All spellcasters now required go through specialized training so they can learn to control any area of effect spells.

Vetranarians all accross Terminus have started to go out of business with new spell casting practices.

Future Patch Notes: With the recent change to aoe damage and pets, pet classes now dominate pvp. We are currently reverting the previous patch allowing pets to once again be hit by area of effect spells.

All AoE Spells now have an added effect,  Squeeky Toy. When an AoE is initially cast a squeeky toy will be hurled outside of the effect radius of the spell.

Pets will no longer suffer the wrath of envious AoE effects cast by allied forces. Fingerwigglers are still working to craft laserpointers to distract pets vs blowing them up to mitigate this fix

Stopped player pets from being damaged by player AoE abilities. Player AoE abilities, such as the Druid's "Snuggle All" spell, will now instead create a calming effect. Meanwhile, many players from the PvP server have marched upon the Visionary Realms headquarters and have begun to riot, turning over and setting fire to Brad McQuaid's beloved, limited edition El Camino.

Stopped player pets from being damaged by player AoE abilities by despawning the pet during combat then respawning after the combat encounter is over.

Now each pet shall hop in its owner's pocket to avoid being damaged or killed.

After many investigations into why animals stopped wanting to be pets, we discovered it was becuase of their owner's and groupmates casting AoE damage spells.  Due to the large amount of pet adoption applications, the developers have made it so that friendly fire does not harm pets or friends and the debacle of not having familiars/pets has been avoided.

The Ethical Treatment of Pets and Subservient Creatures Association, or ETPSCA, has filed an injunction against the "Right to Dominate through Pain ACT" barring the burning, maiming, freezing, exploding, and mutilation of any and all Subservient Creatures not bound by Dark Contract to suffer torment as a specific clause in their servitude arrangement.  The Dark Right a Necromancer lobby with deep pockets and great influence managed to secure their Dark Contract exception through what some suggest was no less than bribery.  As expected the Dark Lord himself referred to this as "Fake News" and a "Witch Hunt".
