What exactly IS a Dire Lord???

Ok so just from judging off the class description it almost sounds necromanish-y. So most likely necromancer type spells... ( DoTs, lifesteal, poison/disease, raise undead, etc). Buuuut... I some saying it'd gonna be like a Shadowknight from EQ. Thing is, I really wanna play a tank class. I refuse to be a paly, warrior is always so so, but anything like a SK would be my dream. So as of right now, it's 50-50 it'll be a mage or tank class (necro or shadowknight type of thing).

So.... Does anyone have any new or most recent updated info about this class? I much appreciate the help to who ever can offer it. Thanks!

Necromancer is on their list of expansion classss last I read.

So it's safe to say Dire Lords are probably more like Shadow Knights

Here is a link to the Pantheon Wiki (supported by the Devs)

If you look at Dire Lord page, it clearly specifies a tank role.

Most of the fan based speculations are linking the Dire Lord to Shadow Knight. I think it is safe to say the class will be a tank/magic user hybrid (likely War/Necro hybrid).

If you have the time for a lengthy read, I have a thread that has updated information, clarifications, corrections, and assumptions on the class here. :) Hopefully it's of use to you! The previously mentioned links are great resources as well!

Real Necromancy requires dedication and specialization.  At best a skilled Dire Lord could consider him or herself a Warriorlock.  Not quite a Warrior, not quite a Warlock, but Warlocks are used to having demons do half the work for them anyway.  #shotsFired.
