That I've spent a lot of time in a large dungeon.
That I have something better than a rusty weapon, maybe bronze even.
That most of my core abilities are at my disposal.
I have multiple choices for good places to go, even some rumors of far off hot spots.
I have 5 plat to my name and think thats doing pretty good.
To be immersed in a world and not just feel like I'm playing another game.
How about you ?
Kiz~
By the time that I'm level 12 I hope ...
That I have been lost in a forrest.
That I have been afraid of the dark.
That I have died in a train.
That I have made new friends.
That I have had some good laughs.
-sorte.
By the Time im lvl 12 i hope......
I've Been killed at least a dozen times
Been in a dungeon but doesn't have to be a big one
Made new friends
Been trained at least twice
Heard of smeone say train at least 10 times(even if it myself)
Almost killed something but got an add that killed me before i could
Saw a lvl 10 target and was still afraid to fight it by myself
By the time that I'm level 12 I hope ...
I've been playing the game for at least a month.
I've made a few acquaintances that might lead to actual friendships.
I've not grown tired of people yelling "DING! Level XX".
I've pulled my ass out of the fire when I thought I was a goner for sure...
...got my ass handed to me when I mistakenly conned a yellow mob for an even con.
I've sat for hours in a spot that just makes me feel like sitting there.
I've wandered, lost, through my starter city, even though I've been there a hundred times.
Most importantly, I hope that, by the time I am level 12, PROTF is a succesful MMO that will stick around for 10+ years.
By the time im lvl 12 i hope....
That i will be a great asset to a group as a tank.
That i have been brutally murdered at a bandit camp.
Killed in the woods at night by some nasty undead creatures.
That i have been turned around several times while exploring.
When i login i have friends that will invite me to come tank in a group.
When pvp becomes available that i have won my first fight against the bad guys!
Me and some friends stumble into a rare mob while grouping.
to still be wearing leather gear as a warrior. MAYBE a piece of chain.
To be wearing second level gear
To have enough plat to buy my next level spells
To have seen at least one rare spawn in the newbie area
To make a whole bunch of new friends
To maybe have a craft that I like
Not to tick off the local guards enough that I am kos to them
To really enjoy the experience of PROTF
To still be married
I hope I've acquired a darn good pickaxe.
I hope I've found a secret place to harvest a pile o' ore.
I hope I've found at least a half dozen great people to play with and formed a group or two.
I hope I've been lost at least once in the depths of an underground lair, and paid dearly for it.
I hope I've gone exploring and discovered a fearsome monster that is far to big for my little legs to run away from.
I hope I've found a great guild to share the laughs and all the fat loot with.
I hope I've learned enough good healin to be needed by a group for my than my Dwarven good looks!!!!!
-Used the Auction House for fully upgraded gear beyond my relative acquiring power.
-Found the secret Teleport spires to quickly access the entire world with a couple clicks.
-Completed at least 50 !quests!
-Uncovered & explored all areas of the maps for the zones I've been in.
-Used the group-finder tool to get into sweet dungeons with minimal effort.
-Quad-Kited for better xp than any group could hope to get.
-Content blocked tons of newbies from the level 12 gnoll camps.
Just Kidding!
Been playing my Bard for way to many hours
Have made enough friends that logging in means I get many tells for teams
That I'm able to convince my RL friends to join me and my wife.
That Pantheon is so popular they have to open 5 times more servers then planed
That I forget I'm level 12 and just enjoying the content
My wife loves her Wizard more then her WoW mage and stops asking me to go back to WoW... That's all on you VR :)
- Still finding NPC's with stories to tell me in the starter zone
- Crafting useful items for other people and that the 'drop' items just make folks want to buy my goods even more
- discovered my first perception that led me to a hidden alter to a crafting Diety thats looking for a new minion
- completed 2 quests and have 78 'rumors' jotted down from the townsfolk conversations in a notebook to check out later
- made a chimpmunk my pet and started force feeding it gems and coins like a piggybank before I release it back into the wild for another new player to kill and be astounded at the loot on the animal.... Hence the first wave of "Chimpmunkacide" will have been caused by me... :)
By the time im lvl 12 i hope I've....
Been thoroughly lost more than once.
Been killed in memorable ways by memorable monsters.
Discovered something neat that wasn't obvious and wasn't pointed out to me.
Had to get out a pen and paper to take notes.
Felt like the world was out to get me.
Made some friends!
that I have been killed in a noobie area by a high level mob (more than once)
been in a dungeon keeping people alive with Cleric heals or things Mezzed with my chanter [aka can't decide which class yet.]
that I have been in game playing for 3-4 weeks (slow levels)
have gotten into a fun guild and made some nice friends
had reasons to go back to my staring city Many times
have recruited as many friends as possible to Pantheon to join me and my brother
By the time I am level 12 I hope:
I've never died is my main hope. I frequently play hardcore - a character dies and it gets deleted.
No I won't do that in Pantheon it doesn't work all that well in a game where you have to group. Sooner or later one of the people who posted above that they hope to die before level 12 will get their wish and take me with them.
By the time I am level 12 I hope:
I can be a guide to foreigners, even high level foreigners, who have come to my home city.
That I have at least two people that I have grouped with more than once that were good groups; who I can put on friends and who log in at relatively the same times I do and dont mind dying or wanting to run to see what's over there or what that thing is.
That I know what my spells or skills do and when to use them through trial and error, and my friends wont mind experimenting with the new spells or skills even if it means dying. (see friends, above)
That I am acting in line with the reputation I want people to have about me in-game. Bonus if it is also RP related/characteristic (evil or good).
I have had to apologize to everyone who died from colateral damage due to me training the newbie yard because I wanted to see if I could solo the one higher level monster on the edge, and not biting back at their barbs or insults and not blaming the lackluster NPC guards who are su-POS-sed to kill them all! nor then extending that to poor game faction mechanics and then "devs" in general to get the hate off me......only to see one guard suddenly unsheath a flaming sword 0_o.
By the time I am level 12 I hope... that I've been awed by a foreign race.
I'll always remember this experience -- when I was playing my first ever character in EverQuest, a gnome, and the first time I saw an ogre in the Steamfont Mountains (this was a zone on a continent shared with elves and dwarves). It was just such a fascinating sight. I'd spent however many levels just in my local area among countless other gnomes, elves, and dwarves, and here was this gigantic ogre suddenly in the mix, awkwardly bumbling his way through the narrow confines of the minotaur caves with his group. What an introduction that was to 'the rest of Norrath'.
By the time I am level 12 I hope..
I've lost at least 3 corpses.
I should still have very little money.
I should have a few armor slots unfilled either due to unaffordability from vendors or no drops earned/found.
I should still not have any magical items yet.
I should still not have items with extra stats.
Lastly, I haven't yet needed to go to sleep since first logging in. :)
By the time I am level 12 I hope...
...I have been part of a full group.
...to have a problem with the 'logout' button.
...as I log in I immediately get a handful of tells asking me to come tank for them...or rather bard/pull for them if bards make launch.
...am captivated and amazed by the art direction.
...that it is around Fall of 2018.
By the time I am level 12, I hope to have many friends to have fun with ingame. Planning our adventures, getting into trouble, laughing and poking fun at each other. Helping when someone calls for help, offering advice on how to do things..and happy to live in my home away from home, Pantheon. :)
