I wonder how long it will be before AI is good enough to translate games on the fly for localization. I doubt it will never be as good as having it done by a native speaker who grasps your idioms and slang.
My daughter plays minecraft on a server that auto-translates chat between Spanish, English, and Portuguese and she said that while it isn't perfect it actually works pretty well.
