Three Branches?

From this majestic stage, the future of their race is debated, with each of the three branches of their society vying for influence while maintaining peace.

Are the three branches the Ashen, Ember and Dythiir’s Hand?

If so, are Dythiir's Hand related to the prophecy? Probably not, right?

The two veins of Elvenhood coexist even now, though days may be drawing near that will bond them further or tear them apart. For there is the second half to Aellos' prophecy, which warned of a Third Inferno for the Elven race. The Ashen believe the Revenant fulfilled that requirement, in blood and flame. Ember disciples aggressively protest that interpretation, claiming the third crucible is yet to come...

    or...

Is the Third Branch just Elves who remain Lucent?

While there are certainly hereditary bents or traits toward one or the other (or to stay Lucent), there is no DNA-based, predetermined course. Are there families who challenge this fact because of their strict adherence to one side or the other? Sure, and there are rebels, purists, favored sons and black sheep just like any other family tree.

    Lucent, Ashen, and Ember.

    Plus the unheralded "Splinterfolk."

Each branch seems to have a militant order.

    Lucent: ?

    Ashen: Wardens of Oldwood

    Ember: Dythiir’s Hand

Thank you so much!  <3   Yeah I get it with Dythiir's Hand now.   OK so we're back to Istuulamae's old posts.  It's a lot to remember!
